Felix Wemheuer is a professor of the University of Cologne, Germany. Prof. Wemheuer received his Ph.D. from the Department of Sinology at the University of Vienna. He has studied at the Department of Chinese Communist Party History in Renmin University of China from 2000 to 2002. Prof. Wemheuer has served as a professor at the University of Vienna and as a visiting scholar at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University.
Prof. Wemheuer is dedicated to studying the social history since 1949, including the issues of the historical continuities of China and the Soviet Union, the biography and theoretical study of Mao Zedong, and the history of the Chinese people in the 20th century.
Prof. Wemheuer will visit the center from April to June 2018.
